How to Join

Becoming a part of MGKA is easy! Simply fill out our membership application form on the website, pay your annual dues, and you’re all set. Members get access to our track on race days, special events, and club meetings.

Test-Drive a Kart with Us!

At the Maui Go Karters Association, we understand that diving into the world of karting can seem like a big step. That’s why we offer you the chance to Test-Drive a kart and experience the thrill of karting firsthand before you commit to membership. Whether you’ve always been curious about the sport or are just looking for a fun new hobby, we’re here to make it easy and exciting for you to get started.

What’s Involved?

Our Test-Drive experience is designed specifically for newcomers like you. During your session, you’ll have the opportunity to:

Take a Spin: Get behind the wheel and take a few laps around our track with guidance from one of our experienced members. Please note that these are not rental karts; instead, you’ll be using karts owned by our club members, with the help of an instructor or experienced driver.
Learn the Basics: Understand the fundamentals of karting—how to drive safely, handle the kart, and navigate the track.
Ask Questions: Whether you’re curious about the best gear, track tips, or the racing community, we’ll answer all your questions and help you feel confident.
See if it’s Right for You: There’s no pressure—this is your chance to test-drive a kart and decide if you want to take your interest further.

How Does It Work?

Let us know in advance that you’d like to take a test drive! Simply give us a heads-up before the upcoming Saturday practice day so we can prepare a kart just for you. We’ll make sure everything is ready and set up to give you the best experience possible. Please note: drivers must be at least 10 years old and weigh less than 175 lbs to fit comfortably and safely in the kart. We are also planning to have a kart available with a smaller seat to accommodate smaller individuals.
Meet with one of our friendly club members who will introduce you to the kart and the track. You’ll go over basic safety and karting tips before getting started.
Experience the excitement of driving a kart! Afterward, you’ll have a chance to chat about the experience and ask any lingering questions.

Track Etiquette

Respect on the track is crucial for safety and enjoyment. Here are some guidelines to follow:

Passing Etiquette

Signal your intentions when passing, and give the leading driver space.
Avoid aggressive maneuvers that could cause accidents.
